Videos have now become an essential and comprehensive part of the Internet. On the social networks, almost every one is sharing videos on their wall. No doubt, we love watching videos. But while browsing Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or Twitter, the autoplay videos sometimes become inconvenient. Especially when you are browsing in a public place, in a class, or in your office.

Actually, at that time, we need silent browsing and Autoplay videos can cause trouble. 

In other situation, as we all are aware that video buffering can consume a lot of data. That is one more reason that we need to stop autoplay video when we have a limited Internet data plan.
So we all need to get out of this problem. Fortunately, there is a solution to this.


Turn Off Autoplay Videos in Various Social Media Networks Including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube


By default, videos are set to autoplay in all major social media networks, including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

We just need to modify the default settings for each of our social media profile. And every social media network has different settings and user interface. Therefore, I'm providing separate Guide tutorial for each social network.

So let's start this tutorial help guide.


1.

Stop Autoplay Videos on Facebook:


Step 1: Open Facebook app on your phone, and tap on the 'Settings Icon' in the top right corner (the 3 bars icon).

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom and find the 'Settings & Privacy', then tap and open it.

Step 3: Now in the sub-menu find and open 'App Settings'.

Step 4: In the  App Settings, tap on 'Autoplay'.

Step 5: Now tap and select the last option 'Never Autoplay Videos'.

It’s done. Now you can close the Facebook Settings and go back to your wall to check the results. From now on, videos on Facebook will not be autoplay for you.

How to Stop Instagram Autoplay Videos


To be honest, it's really disappointing. At the moment, there is no option to completely disable video autoplay on Instagram. But there is a solution, we can choose the option to use less data.

Step 1: Open Instagram app on your phone, then open your Profile by tapping on the bottom right  ‘User Icon’.

Step 2: Now tap on the 'Settings Icon' in the top right corner (the 3 dots icon).

Step 3: Scroll down and find the ‘Cellular Data Use’ under ‘Settings’, then tap and open it.

Step 4: Now select the 2nd option ‘Use Less Data’.

Now close the Instagram Settings and go back to your wall to check what you've done.

Stop Autoplay Videos on Twitter:


Step 1: Open Twitter app on your phone, and tap on your 'Profile Picture' on the top left.

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom, then tap and enable the option ‘Data Saver’.

Step 3: Now Twitter will ask your permission, allow it.

You have done this. From now on, Twitter Videos will not be autoplay for you.

How to Stop Autoplay Videos for YouTube:


Step 1: Open YouTube app on your phone, and tap on your 'Profile Picture' on the top right.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap on ‘Settings’.

Step 3: Under Settings sub-menu, tap ‘Autoplay’ (2nd option).

Step 4: Now simply turn it off by tapping on it.

Mission accomplished. From now on, YouTube will not autoplay Videos for you.
