3 Easy and Quick Ways to Edit CBR or CBZ Files

It is very easy to edit a CBR CBZ file. We can edit CBR CBZ files using 3 different methods. The 1st  method, open CBR CBZ file in a file compression-extraction tool (Win RAR or 7-zip) and then edit. The 2nd method, extract images from the CBR CBZ file and then edit. And the 3rd and the final method, change the extension of the CBR CBZ file and then edit the images.

Step by Step Guide to Edit CBR CBZ Files Using 3 Different Methods

Method 1:- Edit CBR CBZ Files by opening them in Win RAR

Step 1: Install WinRAR Software (If not installed on your system).

Step 2: Right click on the CBR CBZ file, move your mouse courser to ‘Open With’ and then select ‘WinRAR archiver’.

If WinRAR in not listed there, Click on ‘Choose default program…’ and then select WinRAR from the ‘recommended programs’ or ‘other programs’. And don’t forget to UNCHECK, “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file”. Otherwise, from now your CBR CBR files will open in WinRAR by default.

Step 3: Now you have all the images of the CBR CBZ file. Just add or remove the images as per your wish. To add a new image to the CBR CBZ file, just drag and drop that image. To remove a image, just delete that image.

Step 4: Once you added or removed the images, I mean finished the editing, just close the WinRAR window. Now your CBR CBZ file has been edited.

Method 2:- Extract images of CBR CBZ file and Edit Them

Step 1: Follow the above given Step 1 and 2.

Step 2: Now you can see all the images of the CBR CBZ file.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Extract to’ button on the top. Then give a name and saving path to the file. Otherwise it will extract in the same location with the same name (Only extension will change). Now click on OK.

Step 4: Now the CBR CBZ file is extracted, and you can edit the images.

Step 5: After finish the editing, it’s time to create the CBR CBZ file again.

Method 3:- Change File Extension of CBR CBZ File to Edit Images

Step 1: Change the extension of CBR CBZ file from .cbr to .rar and .cbz to .zip.

Step 2: When you change the file extension of the CBR CBZ file, it will become RAR or ZIP file. Just extract it and edit the images (follow the steps mentioned in Method 2 to Extract the images).

Step 3: After finish the editing, it’s time to create the CBR CBZ file again.
